Plot Twists, Plane Tickets, and Poorly Pack Bags

A few weeks ago, my boss asked for my preferred business title for classification purposes. I was tempted to write, "Chaos Coordinator, Missed Flights and Metaphors". I paused for a moment and thought better of it, quickly smashing the backspace key before dutifully responding with a title that will never accurately described how I spend my days.

Hello, my name is Dawn. I'm half-gypsy and half Type A overachiever. Backspace. Backspace. Backspace.

Hello, my name is Dawn.  I'm a quarter gypsy and three-quarters coffee-infused, overachiever with a deep love for color-coded spreadsheets and curated strategy documents.

Welcome to Echoes of Elsewhere, a blog for anyone who’s ever booked a flight for “inspiration” and ended up with a sunburn, a half-written poem, and three new story ideas you swear will land you on the New York Times Best Seller's List.

Should I write my resignation letter now or wait for my imaginary editor to demand a sequel I haven't dreamed of yet?

Here, I mix creative writing with travel tales, weaving together awkward airport moments, magical misadventures, and the occasional existential crisis at 35,000 feet. Whether I’m chasing the perfect sentence or the nearest Wi-Fi signal, this is where I turn travel into storytelling (and sometimes, therapy). Buckle up, it might get wordy.
